OUR MISSION
PSP's mission is to provide community members with access to the resources, education, and opportunities they need to elevate themselves and their neighbors out of poverty.
What is an AmeriCorps VISTA Member?![]() National Service members with AmeriCorps' Volunteers In Service To America (VISTA) program commit to a full year of service during which they serve full-time to help alleviate poverty in their community. To better understand the fight against poverty, they volunteer to live at 110% of the national poverty level. They give up luxuries - even the luxury of financial security - to become the best public servants they can be. Many of our VISTA members will use the skills and relationships they build with PSP as a launchpad into lives of service as nonprofit directors and staff, educators, counselors, social workers, and more. We are proud of the work our VISTA members do, and we are honored to support them in their service. Click here to learn more or apply!
