The event is part of AmeriCorps VISTA's 50th Anniversary year, and will bring together local experts, practitioners, current VISTA members, and alumni from a cross-section of backgrounds to discuss innovative solutions to poverty. The event will also shine a spotlight on the great work being done to alleviate poverty in Salt Lake City and throughout the state.
We invite you to contribute a showcase piece featuring your own projects and how they impact your community. There are a variety of ways your organization can participate in this showcase. Click the registration and submission links below for more detailed instructions. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
Vista-powered organizations can register to host a table at the VISTA 50th Anniversary event to display your work and promote your program. Tables should include project information that clearly outlines VISTA involvement and its role in your organization. Pictures, slideshows, display boards, flyers, and brochures are all welcome. There is also a table option for donors and sponsors of the AmeriCorps* VISTA 50th Anniversary celebration.
Submit a short video to be included in the multi media presentation at the VISTA 50th Anniversary event. If you represent a VISTA-powered organization (like ours), please submit a 2-3 minute video clip telling us about your organization and your impact. Videos should include a description of your project and feature VISTA members in action or talking about your project.
Submit pictures of current and past VISTA members and projects for our legacy book and timeline display. If you are a VISTA member, or a VISTA-powered organization, please submit 1-4 photos from your VISTA experience. Pictures will be used in a slideshow as well as on a timeline display representing VISTA over the years. All pictures should include a date (month and year if possible).

3:30 pm to 5:00 pm: Community Solutions Summit: Focus Area experts in fields of Education, Health, and Economic Opportunity discuss solutions to poverty
5:00 pm to 7:00 pm: Reception and VISTA Celebration
